Funeral Guide/Process

When a Muslim is near death, those around him or her are called upon to give comfort, and reminders of Allah’s mercy and forgiveness. They may recite verses from the Qur’an, give physical comfort, and encourage the dying one to recite words of remembrance and prayer. It is recommended, if at all possible, for a Muslim’s last words to be the declaration of faith: “ I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad (P.B.U.H) is His messenger.”

FUNERAL & BURIAL ARRANGEMENTS:

Once you contact one of the OMA funeral volunteers or the OMA office staff, they will discuss the process with you in details and help you fill out the paper work and make the necessary arrangements.  Trust our volunteers to help you so you can focus on comforting the family and attending to your visitors.
