Announcements

The Ottawa Mosque is pleased to announce that we are returning to in-person classes. 

Registration for the 2024 September – January Semester.

With over 110 students registered and currently learning with 13+ teachers, the OMA Prepare a Hafiz program ensures that each student is given quality learning time with their teacher which will support their learning

Part-Time Hifz Program

In-Person, 2 hours/day, Monday-Thursday (32 Hours/Month)
4 days a week

5 levels are currently being offered, these were carefully selected and discussed with teachers of over 10+ years of experience

Reading/Tajweed

1 

Learn the Arabic alphabets and their pronunciation (Makharij).

Finish half of the book "Tajweed Made Easy". - Pg 29

Learn to read words and sentences with fundamental Tajweed principles.

Complete the entire book "Tajweed Made Easy". 

Understand the tajweed rules and apply them.

Juz’ Amma and advanced Tajweed rules.

Master Juz’ Amma.

Focus on reading the Quran with proper pronunciation, and advanced Tajweed rules.

Develop skills to read a khatma (complete Quran recitation) within 4 months. Should have all tajweed rules mastered and understood. Perhaps in the future add tuhfatul Atfaal

5

Initiate Quran memorization (Hifdh) journey.

Commence the Hifdh journey. (Memorization & Revision)

1 Student: $50CAD/Month
2 Students: $75 CAD/Month
3+ Students: $100 CAD/Month

No student of knowledge shall ever be turned down due to a financial difficulty. This initiative is meant to be a community project. All proceeds collected will be used specifically towards covering students fees, materials, and teacher salaries.
